The F&W Dept. has told me that the online form for entering the 2012 Maine Moose Lottery should be available on Monday, Feb. 6th. The printable paper (mail-in) version will not be available for two or three weeks.  For those of you that have requested a paper version from me, it will be on it's way to you then.

My annual winter newsletter, which will contain recommendations pertinent to the anticipated changes in this years application, will go out as soon as I can view the entire application. Since I myself drew a tag in 2010, I may be restricted from viewing the online application and will have to wait to see a paper one. This newsletter goes to folks that have inquired with me over the years.

Some changes I do know of: 1.  I will no longer be including WMD 9 as a recommended WMD choice for hunters that would want to use my services. There are way too many private camps in that area. It's not remote enough for our type of hunting. 2. For those that would want my services I will be recommending choosing WMDs 4, 8, 6, & 3 as your top choices, along with the September and the October seasons. 3. If you check the November Week season, be absolutely sure to also indicate that you will accept a bull tag only. At this time there are no planned bull tags for the November Week, but things are in fluctuation, and I believe there's a chance that bull tags will be made available for this NWK season before the June drawing date.
