You have to realize that you are not paying my guides and me to guide you to just any palmated bull. Our hunters are paying to get a crack at very large bulls in remote spots where no other hunters go. Hunt rates are not cheap, but a moose hunt with Maine Trophy Moose is an excellent value. Maine Trophy Moose is strictly a trophy outfit that understands the unique attitude of trophy hunters. This requires a lot more pre-season work, more knowledge and more manpower. Your six day hunt is really an obligation of at least two weeks for your guide. Usually I spend at least 12 days pre-hunt scouting, not to mention the weeks in November and December that I spend looking for good bulls after the moose hunting is over. Past hunters have taken some great trophy bulls that were spotted this way in the previous Fall. Trails are cut before green-up in the Spring, and before the June drawing bookings even occur. Bookings are very limited, and hunts may involve two or three guides in the field per hunter, along with the food and lodging services provided. Bangor Airport shuttle to and from camp is included, as are all private land & road use fees. Most importantly though, our hunters get opportunities to bag bulls that others only dream of.
